And now for something completely different...

I have had an idea of a way for us to keep in touch...online gaming. I played Star Wars Galaxies with Harry (and Pete and Chris) and had a lot of fun with that, and I recently started up with World of Warcraft. Anyone interested? Might be a good to have a monthly (or whenever) virtual get-together where we can go out and kill some bad guys (or, sigh, good guys, Kira).

How about a little Diablo 2? It'll run on darn near anything, and it's free:-)

It is an idea.

And many of you should do it if it is your cup of tea.

Not sure if I am up for the electronic time sucking crack of mushing right now (Multi User Shared Hallucination In Nonstop Gaming). Just don’t have the time these days.

There are other alternatives though…..

I'm game (get it?) for anything. But I tend to agree with Tim (time-sucking and multi-user are hyphenated, BTW).

What about something completely retro -- Like getting Donnie to work up a LIVE role-playing game?

We target a weekend next year and make our own little Con somewhere.

Anyone?

I hear you on the sometimes addictive nature of these games, but I do find them to be a lot of fun. I play some nights and mornings and that's about it. I like the game but have not had it get on my back yet. JohnCon, I like the free aspect of Diablo but I don't know if I'll be able to get into that one again now that I've played some of these other games. I think Guild Wars is free to play, have you heard anything about that?

If anyone does decide to try World of Warcraft, I have a Hoarde character on the Argent Dawn server and an Alliance character on Perenolde. Both are named Dagored.

I'd be up to try and join in on some real gaming, but it would really be hit or miss for me on the timing...it seems like every weekend is spoken for before I know it.

I never actually played Space Opera. My mom bought me the game for my birthday when I was a teenager, on Harry's recommendation. Looked cool and I read the books, and I think I even played it alone a bit. I'd try to get in on a live game.

Dave,

It does look like online play for Guild Wars is free as well. If others are interested, I'll buy a copy, and we can start the killin'

Do any of you guys remember sitting up in Harry's room and watching Quadraphenia, over and over and over again?

I do.

I thought of another way we could bond. Lets go see The Who -2

I've been thinking about watching Quadrophenia again, I don't think I've seen it since Thriller was on MTV every hour. Can you still moon walk, Brendan?

I've been in Warcraft a bit lately, if anyone is interested in a little mayhem...

Oh geez... I had forgotten to check the rplies in like a month!

As luck would have it, my WOW characters (Tika - alliance, and Izaa - Horde) are in Argent Dawn like Dago's. I play not very often these days, but will more when winter really sets in. Send me a shout if you're around!
I love the idea of a Friends of Harry evening every so often... whatever game it is, as long as it runs on a Mac.

I hope everyone is well!
